The design is based on a find from Galstad, Sweden. This axe believed to be from the end of the Bronze Age, was found in 1950. The axe is 36 cm long and 26 cm wide and consists of a thin bronze shell cast over a clay core, most certainly created for cult practice. Very similar designs can be seen on rock carvings or hällristningar.
This pendant was cast in tin (99% tin 1% copper) in our atelier in Sweden. Comes with an adjustable waxed cotton cord (black or brown) Stainless steel chain & clasp option available as an add-on.
